Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This incident isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington after encountering a technical issue.
